For better or worse, standardized tests remain one of the key metrics for colleges to admit or reject students. On average, socioeconomic background has a profound impact on standardized test scores. We offer free SAT and ACT test prep for our students. After a baseline assessment, our mentors come up with a personalized plan to help the student achieve their highest possible score!

High school grades are another metric colleges use to assess applicants. We all have strengths and weaknesses, but colleges want to see excellence across a wide range of subjects. We match mentors with students based on their respective strengths and weaknesses. Mentors are available weekly over Zoom for homework help, studying for tests, and answering any questions the student may have.

A final metric colleges use, and perhaps the most important, is the “X factor,” or what makes the student stand out from the crowd. The college application, specifically the college essay, is the perfect place to demonstrate the student’s uniqueness, along with any hardships that may have hurt other aspects of their application. We help with college essay editing, career advising, and any questions the student or their family may have about the application process.
